Whoever said that simple proposals are not enough, obviously knows nothing of the power of baked goods. Dan proposed to Katie with a bouquet of flowers and her favorite pastry as they were snuggled up in PJs, getting ready to watch a movie. Of course she said yes! How precious! These two are such wonderful and fun people, and their Pennsylvania wedding was no different. I had SO much fun at this event!
Before the ceremony, the bridal party met up at a beautiful park in Southampton, PA. There, we photographed the bride and groom's first look as well as the bridal party portraits. The lighting was dreamy and the moment so special! The Old School Meeting House housed Katie and Dan's ceremony. This church, built in the 18th century, has not been changed since the 1850s! Wow! Just a short drive away, the reception took place at Rose Bank Winery, in Newtown, PA. This venue was so big, there were actually TWO other weddings taking place there that day! However, I must say I am biased in assuming that Katie and Dan's was the best one ;).
One of my favorite moments of the day happened after the ceremony. Truly, Katie is a bride after my own heart. When we were finishing up bride and groom portraits, she mentioned that there was a Starbucks just around the corner. I jokingly asked if she'd want to go get some coffee before heading to the reception and she and Dan said yes! Whaaaat? Awesome! So, Aaron and I chauffeured Katie and Dan to the nearby Starbucks and we all got ourselves some free wedding day joe :). YES!
Congratulations, Katie and Dan! It was a pleasure working with you two!
